Need .35 caliber ammo
I just got a Marlin .35 cal lever action model 336. I thought I knew where the best places to buy ammo online in quantity were, but I can't find anyone who sells .35 cal. Does anyone have any suggestions? I want somewhere between 300 and 500 rounds to start with, depending on the price.
I would also like a forearm for it.
Thanks again all.

Just bought the same rifle that you did - I ordered 20 Remington factory loaded rounds along with 50 unprimed brass cases and 100 bullets from Midway. Hope to try the rifle and reloaded cartridges out on Sunday - depending on the weather. There's something about a .35 Remington cartridge and Marlin Lever Acton that I've always liked.

John

You might give www.cheaperthandirt.com a look. They have a lot of ammo and their prices are more than competitive. I've purchased quite a bit of ammo from them, and they're top notch with me.

Remington still makes loads fo the 35 Rem. Go to your local gun shop and ask the owner if he will special order some for you. You will probably have to put some or all or the money down though. I do specail ordrs all the time for my customers 0 -
while i believe the .35 rem is no longer a production gun from marlin, or will shortly be out of production, there are a large number of these guns in this chambering still out there. all the major ammunition producers still offer several loadings, and will continue to do so for at least 20 more years.
i own a MARLIN 336 CARBINE in .35 REMINGTON with a 20" BBL and a tasco 3-9x40 scope on high see-through mounts. its a nice fireplug of a round. it will take any game in north america when using the 200 gr corelokt ammo, or my preferred heavier handloads.
the big drawback is range... the .35 rem will nosedive after 150 yds. while its the perfect brush gun, for use in heavy wooded areas, it will not reach out past 175 yds. its ideal in the lighter loadings for deer, and will do the job on bear with the heavier loads.
pretty much any big chain store or smaller shop will have .35 rem in stock, or will order it for you. while gunwriters are calling the round "obsolete" you will find ammo and parts for a long, long time.
nicely made and designed gun, high quality. MICRO GROOVE rifling helps you realize great accuracy and consistant point of impact and group size. best regards, mike.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, it is a really nice rifle. I was hoping to get a few hundred rounds so I don't stress the $$ when I go out and fire, but it looks like this type of ammo is only available in boxes of 20 at no less than $13 a box.
Thanks again foor the advice.
