S&W 14-3
My dad left me a target 14-3 in 38 special. It's in excellent shape, works single action only. What should I sell it for on gunbroker? I saw one for 400 on that site and that seems too high. Thank you for your expert help,as always!

Hi,experts, I'm thinking of listing an inherited S&W 14-3 single action 38 with a six inch barrel for 200 and no reserve. That's what I've gotten from reading a gun trader's guide at Walmart. The gun is in like new condition, probably was fired about 100 times. Am I in the ballpark? 0 -
If my Father left it to me I would not sell it at ten times it's value. You are right $400.00 is high, fair price would be around $300.00.

Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson says the single action only model is worth more than the standard model 14-3. Exc condition shows $285 for standard and $325 for SA only. If you happen to have the original box and accessories your gun might bring a premium to a S & W collector. I agree with ATF about selling a gun you inherited from your father. 0 -
My dad gave me permission,I'm going to hold on to his M1 and M1 carbine from his WW2 marine days, though. Also my recent divorce has left me pretty much broke(but it was worth it!)Thanks for the feedback! 0 -
