i dont know from personal experients on a barrel, but i do know that carbon fiber is stronger than metal, and its a lot lighter so the gun will be more balanced. thinking of one for myself and would hesitate in using it. Ed

it's not the type of gun you have in the heat of a battle that counts, only if you have enough ammo for it, lets face it, a gun without ammo is only as good as a base ball bat!!

They are good, accurate barrels, and becomming more popular all the time. Using them permits a significant weight reduction while maintaining accuracy on a par with a heavy bull barrel.

However, I am one that likes a little weight forward and I don't really have it with the carbon fiber barrels, so my preference is with the heavier barrels.

If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!

Had one on for about 4 months and put my heavy barrel back on. Accuracy was fine just missed the weight and stabality on the bench.

Been there done it, with carbon bull barrel & houge stock.
IMHO leave it stock, save your $.
Did not find any great deal more in accuracy.
Was shoting 1.5" groups before, went down to 1" at times.
Total cost of barrel & the stock was around $200-225

I DID THE SAME AS IMACLONE BUT ALSO DID A TRIGGER JOB, CUT GROUP SIZE FROM 2.5" AT 50 YRDS TO <1". NOT A BENCH GUN BUT MUCH HANDIER IN THE FIELD. (MIDWAY HAVE A SALE A WHILE BACK AND GOT BOTH STOCK AND BARREL FOR <$150). SOLD THE ORIGINAL BARREL & STOCK ON E-BARF FOR $50.
