Which manufacter produces the best barrel in .300 SAUM?

  i have never used either maker but have heard some unfavorable things about blackstar. also, on another forum dedicated to long range shooting, several shooters are using pac-nor barrels. that being said most shooters will not likely see any difference in hunting applications. hope this helps some

  Their ain't no flies on a blackstar barrel. They are made by Lothar Walther,..blackstar only does a proprietary electrochemical bore polishing. Their steel is harder than most brands,..and a great many gunsmiths don't wish to expose their HSS reamers to that. That necessitates a carbide reamer which is ~$450 compared to HSS reamers at ~$90.
  
  I have 3 PacNor tubes,..one on my 1000yd Light gun. They shoot with the best of them as well.
  
  Bottom line,...todays stuff is all top notch from all top names.
  
  why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
