Swiss K-31 reassembly..?
Somewhere between take apart, de-grunge and put back together, I took a brain dump..While degreasing, I had no idea how to strip the bolt...Now I have a 3 piece bolt plus a bolt handle and can't get this mess back into the receiver...Only once in my many years have I had to bring a gun in a box to the smith...well, MAYBE twice [:(] I'm going to go take a hot shower, and hope that when I get out, someone will have had mercy on this klutz...

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing first time I took my K-31 bolt apart. I found the instructions on this site, much clearer then the ones on the surplus rifle site. I was able to get the bolt back together using these instructions and the pictures from the other site.

NJRETCOP,
You are the man (sorry, hijacking this one for the shout out to you!)! I have been into Mil. Surp.rifles for 25 years. Thought I had most of this stuff kida' figured out; at least the guns I have owned for a while. I have never been able to figure out how to remove the bolt from my mint M95 Steyr and this site just alleviated 6 years of frustration and difficult cleaning experiences I have shot it VERY infrequently over the years because of this problem and now I can do so with impunity!!! Read the instructions and just removed the bolt, dis and reassembled it in about 7 minutes...I am aghast at my own stupidity!! All these years! Thank you so very much and please read my quote at the end of this post...the "When I cease..." thing has never been so well proved!!!
"When I cease learning...I'm dead"(Me)
"Power corrupts...Absolute power corrupts absolutely"(Descartes?)
"History is written by winners"(Patton)
"You get a lot farther with a kind word and a gun than you do with a kind word alone!"(Al Capone)

1KYDSTR,
Thank you for the kind words.......always glad to lend a hand. [:)]
