The real sorrow here is that they don't make the 45 carbine anymore! I think they quit making the 9 mm as well. Have shot the Beretta and agree with you that it is overrated! Get a Keltec, pay half the price and send it back for free repairs when it goes south. Beretta came up with a concept that was done a long time ago; other than the cool appearance it has little going for it in my opinion! Wish I had never sold my Marlin....Dumb, dumb, DUMB!!!

Didnt mean to make you feel bad since you ordered one, but the guy paid over $650 and it just seemed like alot $$$ , that Marlin camp I had I think I gave $225 it was used when i got it, the Beretta really looked sharp but the magazine catch and few of the other parts looked kind of flimsy, it shot good as in no jams, maybe the 40 will be better as with all new stuff there are always a few bugs, what I liked about the Beretta its light and short for quick handling, I think maybe $450-$550 would have been a better price but then nothing is cheap today...I never tried that sub-2000 I bought a Grendel some years ago and I think he is the same guy who is behind the Keltec company , that Grendel was some piece of junk and I woudnt buy a keltec in any form ...I think you will see more of those beretta type carbines comming out ....9MM is the way to go as the ammo is so damm cheap.....the M1 carbines are great but the ammo is not cheap anymore & the carbines are overpriced.......good luck with the 40....Billy

Glock does make a carbine conversion kit that the receiver attaches to. I have seen them in 40 S&W with a model 22 receiver.
