"New Generation" ammo is manufactured, as I remember, in the Czech Republic and packaged in South Africa. It is very good ammo, but has hard primers. If one doesn't fire, recock the hammer and it will fire.
They are not "duds." It has been several years since I had my CZ52, but I do remember this being as good as the S&B ammo. Both are non-corrosive.

My references are packed, but standard SovBloc nomenclature would suggest this is product of plant 22 produced in 1952 . . . I might well be wrong, but I would do some additional research before using it.

Just as our (military) ammo is marked as to where and when is was made, the Sovets marked theirs to identify where and when theirs was made.
One referance site shows that 22 is the code for Romania.
That dosn't make it good or bad ammo, just what plant it came out of.

Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

dd, virtually all the SovBloc (& Red China) arsenals use / used numeric designations for the production facility. Some also use (d) letter codes - for example "bxn" for one of the Czech arsenals. I'm sure TG is correct on the location - these arsenals are not exactly a secret, nor the codes. Doesn't make the ammo good or bad, but given the year it is a virtual certainty this is corrosive primed ammo. The arsenal is at the top of the headstamp virtually 100% of the time in SovBloc ammo, but perhaps it was produced by plant 52 in 1922 (don't know when this caliber was introduced); still corrosive.
