10 ROUNDS TO 30 ROUNDS?
I was reading about the XM15 E2S M4 type post ban carbine on the Bushmaster website. It comes with a 10 round mag and my question is can I use a higher capacity mag on this rifle? And what the hell is all this post-ban/pre-ban ballyhoo about? Is it just about the barrel length? Or mag capacity? One more question, if it can only use a 10 round mag can I convert it to accept a higher capacity mag?

Hello, you should be able to use any cap. mag. designed for that firearm. Post-ban means it was made after the ban in 1994. Just because it was made then, it can't be sold new with mags that hold more than 10. If you have the mags, you can use them.

The pre-ban ones were allowed to have the collapsible stock, bayo lug, and flash suppressor. You'll find that the post-ban has no bayo lug, has a muzzlebrake, and has a pinned "tele-stock". All post-ban rifles are allowed two "evil features". On the Bushy M4, that would be the pistol grip and the detachable mag. The preban has no restriction on the number of "evil features"[;)]

if it came with a fixed telestyle stock, i would just get the full sized stock. i had an actual collapsable stock on one of my ar's, and they just dont feel right. 0 -
punishingone,you had stated that you live in ca. on a couple of other posts.and numerous people have told you cant get this type of gun on those posts because they're illegel in this state,it seems to me that even though you've been told that, i wonder when you'll stop punishingone(self) and give it up. unless you dont caare about going to jail!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are trying to learn to drive by going out and buying a Ferrari. If you really want help, buy a good inexpensive .22, then enroll in a safety/marksmanship course. If you buy a rifle before you know what it can do, or what you will want to use it for, you will end up wasting a lot of money or possibly hurting yourself or someone else. People like you scare the hell out of me, because you have not been taught the responsibilities inherent to firearm ownership. Not that I'm saying you are irresponsible or a potential hazard, just uneducated.
