S&W Model 624-- Lew Horton
I have a S&W Model 624 Lew Horton special edition gun from 1986.The gun is chambered in .44 special.I'd rate the condition at 98% or better. The gun comes complete with the factory box, manual and a brand new leather holster that was included as part of the Lew Horton package.I am thinking of sending it to a buddy in Indiana for resale in the US.Can anyone give me a ballpark figure of it's worth?
Many thanks--

Check it out here.http://www.smith-wessonforum.com/cgi-bin/sandwcgi/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro I would say in that condition with box, holster and papers about $550.00 to $600.00.

You need permission to export it from Canada, & your buddy needs permission to import it into the US; that will require the services of an importer. I don't think that violation of gun laws of either country is something you would want to do.

Maybe he knows what he's doing? I just answered his question about the value.

Thanks for the price estimate ATF.[:)] Yes, I know all about the necessary red tape of going through the BATF, etc. as I've sold handguns to US residents before. It is time consuming but as the market for short barrel handguns is poor in Canada right now it is an option I'm considering.
