Value of Pre-Trooper, early Colt .357(Near NIB, condition)?

  I just bought a Colt "357" on consignment for $450.00. It's a 6" without a box, but almost mint cond.
  
  At a recent auction I saw a 4" "357" in the original box and in excellent condition go for $700.00.
  
  Auctions sometimes drive up the prices when a couple guys get in a bidding war with each other. 700 is too high for one of these guns, in my opinion.
  
  The Blue Book lists these with wide hammer and target grips at $600.00 in 100% cond, $450.00 in 95%, and $300.00 in 90% cond.
