does it have box and papers? lightly fired makes it automatically 99%. any hand marks will make it 98%.

As the Colt .357 Mag was offered in either a 4" or 6" barrel and with either a blued or nickel finish (Manufactured 1953-1969) you may wish to advise. An option was also with the wide hammer and target stocks.
Slight premium for this option. Box and papers would add a premium.
W/o a picture or additional information-I have seen these advertised
in the $375.00 range. If RancheroPaul or JudgeColt drops by, they will nail it for you. Welcome to the bored, 101
Are you asking the same question 3x which includes the engraved pistol?

    ATF,
I am going on the Colt Model-Colt.357 Mag. You do realize that this is a different model than the Models you have mentioned? Perhaps you
did not see his other posts as I until responding to this one.[:)]

1)I'm sorry, for the confusion, everyone! I did ask this question 3X(Unintentionally)as I tried to get my post to appear(But, nothing happened-as I kept being referred back to my earlier, "Locked" post(Instead of back to my new post?)and so, I ended up trying to post, 3x's, before I got a result(And, all of a sudden, there were three post's!)? Something, evidently, went wrong?

    2)Yes, I have been talking about that engraved(1953-61 vintage)Model Colt .357(Double action)revolver!

3)I will purchase "The bluebook Of Gun Values" as soon as I find one(My Book Store, has them back-ordered)? However, I prefer also, to get a better feel for the "Popularity" and, for other relevant information, about certain guns, I'm interested in, from the various "Experienced" Forum members? Reference books are good-but, I believe, that the input, from Forum members(With many years, of on hand experience, with guns)can be an even greater(And, more accurate benefit)than just what books, can offer? Together, I can learn much more(Relevant)information? I also, "Enjoy" the Forum members input! This is a very interesting(And, productive)Forum!

    Aimhigh,
Not to worry. We butt heads all the time. Before the good Capt locks this up as being a general discussion forum, you may purchase the Blue Book from sellers on GB, usually less inexpensive than any book store. Good luck and welcome.

yeah...this is just a carry over from another thread. he's wanting two things. 1. the value of the gun and 2. the value of the engraving, and, if it ruined his gun if it was done tastefully. blue books can help on the gun issue, but an art appraiser (engraver) will have to look at the engraving to give a quote. i stick to my guns on this issue, unless it was done by a guilded artist, the gun is worth the guns bluebook and whatever the market will bear on the engraving.
