i live in PA and i don't think they have a gun registry. if you own your gun you shouldnt have a problem getting a concealed carry permit.

Go to your county courthouse (county sheriff dept) you'll be in and out of there in less than 30 mins. Welcome to pennsylvania!!!

There is no gun registration in PA, I moved out of there a few years ago and was a police officer in Philadelphia, there is NO REGISTRATION of guns in the Keystone State!

I too also live in PA & if you own your guns, you may get the concealed carry permit as Spookster says. I have never had to register w/PA any of the firearms I own. The PA Game Commission would like you to spend extra $$$ for a hunting permit for pistols, however, I am quite sure that if you ask the Sheriff @ your Courthouse, you DO NOT NEED A HUNTING PERMIT to carry your pistol during hunting season. I checked before going into the woods w/my pistol & was glad I did. I was informed that I can carry my pistol anywhere, anytime in PA as long as I have my concealed permit w/me.

A second on Homeycat. Get the carry permit rather than the sportsman permit that way you are covered 100% of the time including hunting just so you don't carry a semi-auto while hunting. Gov. Ed Rendell would surely like you to register your handguns when you get here but he does not like our State Constitution guaranteeing your right to keep and bear arms without infringement. So far we are still a relatively free state.

Thank You all, I spoke to a gun dealer today in Pa. He told me that I had to "register" all my pistols in Pa, which he would of course do for $20 a piece. SOOOO I wanted to double check this info. I also noticed that the price of guns are much higher in Pa. than in Va., guess I better stock up this week before the move. Maybe it is just "HIS" store that is outragously priced. Guess he will not be getting my business.

I've got a PA CCW, $25 at the local court house and I walked out with it. There is no gun registration in the state unless you are moving to the cities...
