Sight Screw removel
I am in the process of reblueing a Remington Model 514 .22 Rifel. (Yes I am useing Blue Wonder) I want to remove the rear sight so I can get the blueing to be even. There are 2 screws holding it on. Will these screws come out with a screw driver? Or will I need to use an impact driver?

Hey Tools- Should just back right out. Get a screwdriver that fits tight and give it a try. If it resists, tap the top of the screwdriver handle with something with weight as you back out.

If you don't have one already, now is a great time for you to buy a screwdriver kit with an assortment of interchangeable attachments. You probably already know that there is nothing that stands out on a firearm like a buggered screw head. You should be able to buy a usable set for $20 or so at your local gunshop or (horrors)Wally World for a little less. One of the best tool investments you can make; comes in really handy for fishing gear and anything else that might have small screws. The little box helps keep everything organized and right at hand when you need something. Don't risk using an ordinary handyman type screwdriver on your prized rifle! 0
