The E. Schmidt & Habermann Co., of Suhl was a noted sporting arms manufacturing concern, it's listed in my reference as being in business between 1886 & the early 40's. They not only made double guns but custom Mauser pattern rifles.
The 7 x 65Rmm Brenneke Cartridge was developed in 1917 and is still very popular in Europe, along with it's rimless counterpart ( 7 x 64mm Brenneke ). Ballistically it's similar to our .280 Remington.
The above information dates your Drilling.

btw....16ga was the most common of drillings. 0 -
While drillings are a great idea when birds and deer are in season readily finding ammo for them can be an issue. With those calibers you shouldn't be looking at spending more than $1600-$2200 on a WWII bring back. There are tons of 16 gauge drillings that soldiers brought back from the war and they really have limited appeal because of the varied and unusual calibers. Only real exception is the Luftwaffe Survival Drillings....you can name your own price on them. If you really want to start hunting with a drilling I'd recommend the Colt-J.P.Sauer's that were made in the late 70's and early 80's for the US market. They come in 12 gauge with either .30-06 or .243 and usually can be had for around $2500. Beach 0
