Markings on AR15 upper ?

I'm new to the world of AR 15s and have taken on a build-your-own project. I just received a pre-ban AR 15 upper I bought at auction. It seems to be in excellent condition and the seller is very highly regarded on gunbroker. The upper was represented as a Bushmaster, but there are no readily apparent markings with a brandname or caliber that I can see. What am I overlooking? Appreciate your help.

  the brand wont be stamped on the upper. probly all that will be on there is toward the muzzle end of the barrel, there with be the caliber, twist rate, etc. good luck building your rifle
