M. DOOLITTLE

I also have acquired a Civil War Era percussion cap rifle. The only markings on the entire gun are M. DOOLITTLE
MAKER

stamped on the barrel. Does anyone have information on this gunsmith? We are from NY if the region helps in any manner. Thanks.
