Is springfield milspec 45 also commemorative?
I was at a show today and I saw numerous Springfield Milspec .45s like the one featured in the lastest American Rifleman. Came in a sort-of OD green carboard box and the asking price was $469-479.
About 4 dozen tables later I see a Springfield WWII Commemorative (that's how it was advertised) for $415 and it came in a green plastic box sort of the same color as the cardboard one.
These looked to be the same gun but the price difference made me wonder what the difference was. Are these the same gun?

Maybe the difference is the box! I own a Mil-Spec and as far as I know it IS at the bottom of the springfield line, but that is not to say that they MADE one in the past. BTW those prices seem high to me, I got mine NEW from a dealer for $399 right after took if off sale(which was $369 or $389). $399 seems to be the standard price here, just be sure to shop around.
