Canadian FN FAL?
The Civil Division of my SO was executing an eviction today and found what seems to be a Canadian made FN FAL in the house. It has a Simmons scope on it, with a mount that attaches to both sides of the receiver, hiding what seems to be the make, etc. I haven't taken the scope and mount off yet, will do that tomorrow.
It has "Made in Canada" in two places, both on the right side. At the rear of the receiver, and at the magazine well. The magazine seems to be .30 cal, or 7.62, as does the barrel.
My question is does anyone have any info on Canadian made and imported models of the FN FAL?

It would be a C1A1, the canadian version of the british L1A1 using and inch pattern reciever.
The markings shouldn't be covered by the scope mount. No scope mount that I'm aware of anyway. Most of the scope mounts that I've seen only replace the dust cover. You'll probably see many parts marked with serial #'s, but the one that the BATF is conserned with is the upper reciever which would be the one that the magazine goes into. Look on it for any mfg. markings.0
