.22 LR Ballistic Info

Ballistic information for .22 LR ammo is not readily available for one very good reason... there is an absolute plethora of DIFFERENT loads and manufacturers of the stuff. Frankly, if you intend to shoot small bore silhouttes, buy the target grade ammo only, and develope your own ballistic charts through experimentation and practice. Even if ballistic information was provided for a particular make/brand of 22 LR ammo, there is NO guarantee that it will perform to those specs in your firearm.

Some ammo makers have the type of ballistics info you're looking for on their websites. For example, here's Remington's:

Here's one that I had bookmarked. It's not a bad starting point. It's also not as much fun as developing your own data. [:)]

I heartily reccommend acquisition of a reference called," Ammo & Ballistics for hunters, shooters, and collectors" by Bob Forker. The information on available factory loads is unbeatable, though it doesn't list 17hmr info.
Bert's right in the aspect that most ammo will do different things in YOUR gun than in almost any other; I shoot a Ruger KMKGC678 with a PDPII red dot that absolutely loves Federal's 711 Match Target. I also have a 10" Contender that won't do what I want unless it's fed Lapua Midas. Diff'rent strokes fer diff'rent Folks.
Welcome to the demanding world of Handgun Silhouette!
