FEG 45ACP (help?)
I recently bought a used Hungarian made .45 at a local gunshow. I didn't recieve a manual with it, and didn't think to ask the seller about how to tear it down for cleaning. I'm goin crazy wanting to fire it, but I won't until I know how to clean it.
Can anybody help me out here?
TIA,
Rob

did some web searching, found this website:
http://www.fegarmy.hu/
if nothing else you should be able to email them and get a manual.
However, most of the FEG pistols look like Browning HP derivities. Should be able to take it down like you would a browning. (or 99% of the pistols on the market)0 -
Thanks, I'll try that![:)]

I own an feg p9rk, this gun is an almost exact copy of the browning high power. I assume that the 45acp version takes down in the same manner. With the magazine out and the gun unloaded, pull the slide back and flip the safety lever up into the notch on the slide. push the slide catch up and pull out. while holding onto the slide with one hand, release the safety lever. the slide can then be removed. turn the slide over and play close attention to how the spring is placed against the barrel lug. remove the spring and then the barrel can be lifted out.
PAy attetion to the direction of the spring and guide assymbly, If you put the guide assymbly against the barrel lug upside down when reassmbling you will not be able to put the slide back on the frame.
If you ain't got a sense of humor you got no business bein here!0
