benchmade folder
A few years ago I purchase a folding knife by Benchmade which I lost recently. While trying to replace it, I couldn't find another brand that with one hand you can easily open and close.
Anyone know of another brand of folder which is comperable to Benchmade?
Hopefully knife quistions are OK on this forum.[^]

Benchmades are hard to beat, why not just get another benchmade?

I had troble finding a replacement. It seems Benchmade has a number of requirements for sellers which my local gun shops don't wish to follow, such as using a lot of counter space for this product.
Since I really liked my knifes action, I kept looking and traveled to a nearby town and bought one, but still the selection was poor.
After calling the factory, getting a less that satisfactory answer, and paying a lot, I started thing that someone else must make a comparable product.
In other words I would still buy their product but I buggs me to have to hunt all over to find it.
Thanks

Just get a new Benchmade...
Spyderco makes good one handed openers too
beretta
Smith and wesson
Gerber
If force ain't work'n... Your not use'n nough of it.
I know the spelling is bad but guess what I DON'T CARE0 -
Benchmades are a very good knife for the price (you did not mention your particular model) but Masters of Defense as well as Microtech each make outstading folders (both in manual as well as automatics) and are my choices along with Boker.

I lost my Benchmade too, I tried CRKT with good results. They are on a little lower end, but make a durable product and have a fairly large selection.

I know they have some BM's on GunBroker, or if you wanted to go to that other auction site, you can find some good deals on BM's. I have one as well as a Spyderco and a CRKT. The CRKT one tends to rust if used in the field at all so it stays home. Spyderco's are great but not like the quick one handed open of the BenchMade Axis Lock. Maybe try to hook up with someone who has a pro-deal with them. We have one thru work and they are ~ 50% less than retail price. One quick tip for CRKT's - a Spyderco clip will fit the CRKT clip screw hole pattern with minor modification (drill out holes in Spyderco clip very little) and will stay with you A LOT longer than the CRKT clips!!! You can get spare Spyderco clips from most any knife store. 0
