heavy stock for 300wby??
hello,
i cannot find any company that makes a wood or synthedic heavy stock...i just want to add a little bit of weight to my 300 wby. does anyone know of a company that makes stock for this rifle and how much they weigh?

Get a McMillan. You can specify heavy fill when ordering the stock. Weight can also be added by drilling a wood stock and adding lead ingots. But I would strongly reccomend giving McMillan a call.

Boyd makes laminates which are heavier than factory wood stocks. Any stock will work for drilling out and adding lead or stainless bars. Put some behind the recoil pad,..and some in the barrel channel to balance it out. Or,..you may wish to look at the mercury recoil reducing systems if recoil is your reasoning for doing this. I have a Borden/Rimrock on my MK V,..and it weighs about as much as a cotton ball,...so I really don't recommend one of them.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
