dpms
i am looking at a dpms upper 16" with a 1-8 ss barrel and a bushy lower i know nothing about the dpms products for the whole thing it is $740. is this a right price and is the dpms a good product.

By bushy, I assume you mean "Bushmaster". That price is excellent for a Bushmaster lower with DPMS upper.
DPMS (Defense Procurement Manufacturing Services) makes excellent products. I was shooting a match last weekend in Phoenix with Randy Luth, the pres of DPMS. I have known him for a couple years, and he is a very progressive, intelligent and honest guy.
I have bought numerous products from DPMS and have never had any problems at all. Their guns and parts are made to mil specs and finished to the highest quality. I recently bought one of their left hand uppers and built a new match AR in left hand. Once I got it all assembled, I took it to the range and began shooting it with no problems at all.
