When Manufactured ?
Is there any way that I can find out when my used rifle was manufactured ? It simply says Remington Model 700 on the barrel. Thanks

There should be some "numbers" and "letters" stamped on the barrel, just forward of where it meets the receiver.
Either call Remington at this 800 Number or e-mail them, they will be able to give you the DOM.

Rufe-snow...
Actually, it is just two letters (no numbers). The first letter designates the month, and the second letter will tell you which year.

Tkae a look at the left side of the barrel just forward of the receiver... you should find two stamped letters. If you tell me what they are, I can quickly tell you when it was made. If your Model 700 is one of the early made rifles, it would help to know that (the year code letter repeats itself once every 26 years).
