Where to have gun refinished in ST. Louis Area

I've got an old Remington 1100 I'd like to have refinished. It shoots fine but just doesn't look very good. Nice barrels and new synthetic stock seem pretty easy to come buy but, I'm not sure where to take it to have the receiver reblued. There is only one place I know of where I live and they want $65 to do receiver only - and that is with me giving them just the receiver. Is that a fair price? I live near Carbondale, IL but also get up to St. Louis fairly often. Can anybody recommend another source if $65 is too much?

  $65 sounds more than fair. I am assuming that this includes polishing to remove what finish is left on the reciever and smoothing out small ding marks on the metal. You might want to clarify that before you take the reciever and the money to them.

  Be careful. When my magazine tube separated from the receiver, Remington insisted on destroying the receiver & gave me a new shotgun. I think you need to find someone else.
