Can anyone tell me the date of manufacture of a Knockabout SN10560 or confirm whether the Knockabout is C&R?

Dave: the Knockabout Model 311-R by Stevens was Produced from 1982 to .....I believe 1985..Have a glitch in my database and its not coming up correctly....anyway...The R Model of the 311 is a Compact Design made for Law Enforcement use...Barrel..18 1/4 inch. 12 gauge, Solid Rib and chambers the 2 3/4 and 3 inch Mag...My data base says its not a C&R gun....

I think you are talking about a pistol.Single shot tip up action 22short,22lr,if you are. The Book of Modern Gun Values says it was made from 1953 to 1960.I guess if it was made in 53 it is C&R.
I don't know after that. Dave

Dave: Never had this problem pop up...must have been something typed in incorrectly when loading the database...because when I type in Sheridan I get the same listing..and when I type in further research, I get a listing for Sheridan Products, and Sheridan and Crotch, listed in the middle of the previous download...its like reading a page with Three story lines on the same page.....
Here's the revised information ....Knockabout by Sheridan Products Incorporated, Manufacturer of Single-shot pistols in Racine, Wisconsin, 1953 thru 1960....Don't know if its a C&R rated gun...?Have to get ahold of My Computer mechanic and see what can be done...if anything...? to see if a program can be devised to check files in my database...Drat...! Sorry for any inconvienance I may have caused You.......best...
