remington 514 .22 wont pull the shells

I'm working on a 514 single shot for a friend. It willnot pull the shells after fired. The bolt was hard to shut so he ground the extractor down. Ipicked at the where the bolt face meets the barrel with a pick and solved that problem. So is it the extractor if so where can i get one. Also when was this thing made on the barrel is an XH33.

  I can't help you on the date, but the parts these older remingtons are hard to find. If GUNPARTSCORP.COM doesn't have it you might try and get in touch with a seller on here named"flyingwoof" or something to that effect. I have purchased some odd parts for my 510, 512 and 514 from him. Odds are if he ground on a part that was working OK this is the problem. Just needed a little cleaning.

  Becker, be sure that the chamber is clean and not pitted if you haven't checked it already.
