My dad recently gave me his L57 in 243. It has a 9x westener scope. When I was a kid back in the mid 60s in Minnesota. We would use it on all sorts of game. Seems like he would never miss what he was shooting at.Any ideas what it's value is, Although I will never let it go. His dad sold it him.I found the the reciept it was for $60.

Pre-72 sako. Depending on condition, they sell between $500 (rough) to $1000+ for nice minty rifles. Definitaly a desirable item.

They are very good hunting rifles and it's good to hear that your not planning on selling it. Interesting that your dad saved the receipt his father gave him ... must have had some special significance.
Enjoy it and pass it to the next generation, receipt and all!
