Difference Mauser 1914 and a 1934
Good Morning All,
How can you tell the difference between a Mauser 1914 and a Mauser 1934. The pictures of the gun look the same to me. I have a pistol 7,65 with a serial number of 32095x. On one side of the barrel it reads WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A-G OBERNDORF A N MAUSER'S PATENT
Any information would be helpful. Thanks Susan

The most prominent and visable difference is in the shape of the grip. The 1914 has a wooden grip that is straight in back. A lot of the 1934's have wooden or plastic grips that have a rounded back to the gripstrap.
From the serial number of your pistol I believe that you have a 1914, with the above type of straight rear gripstrap.
Here are a couple of links to pictures on PANCHO'S excellent web-site that show you the the difference in the grips.

But I have a rounded wooden grip. Would it help if I emailed a pic? Thanks Susan0 -

Perhaps if you compare your pistol to those I've shown in the links, it will be clearer regarding the rounded rear gripstrap?

I understand now. The curve in the grip threw me. The links you made available were excellent. You were absolutely correct once again. Thanks again for the helpful information. - Susan 0
