difference between an ADL and a BDL

Is there any diff in a Remington adl and bdl action besides the hinged floor plate? Can a hinged floor plate be added to a adl action? Reason i ask is i have a 243 adl that needs a stock and a buddy has a new pull off bdl stock. I like the bdl stock better and wonder if it would be cheaper to modify my action or to buy an after market stock. although i have not seen any i like as much as i do the factory BDL stock.

  they are the same. All you need is the magazine box, follower, and spring, as well as the bottom metal (floorplate) You would be better off placing a want add for these items as they tend to be expensive when purchased as new factory replacement parts.
