Out of the closet.......guns that is!
So I'm doing some work at a clients house and she asks me if I want to see the guns that her dad gave her. I'm new to guns so maybe you can help with the value of these guns. The first was a Weatherby Mark V made in Germany. It was a 300 magnum with original weatherby scopes and came with a wood stock with the white diamond underneath. The stock had soem scratches and nicks, the bolt was sticky and varnished as it tried top slide into the barrel, and the was a fingernail size patch of rust forming on the lower front of the barrel. Overall the blueing looked good. She estimated around 35 years old. The second gun which really caught my eye was a Beretta Silver Side over under shotgun. 12 gauge. It felt very light and had a beautiful angel underneath in the aluminum lokin metal. There was also a little button with a bird engraving located on the wood stock. She thought her dad came home with this gun after living in Europe. Please tell me more about these and what would be a fair price. -Mike Gardner

every collectors dream...naive family member and guns for sale. but honestly, there is about a 1,000.00 worth of guns there. i'll let others go into detail and back me up or challenge me. (dont give her 500.00! some day she'll find out and your name will be mud if you see her again!)[:D] 0 -
Blue Book on the rifle is $500-550+ depending on condition which I am assuming is 80% or better
Beretta O/U is another matter ... there are so many models and they range in price from $500 to over $20,000. Maybe someone that is really into Beretta's can give you more based on the info you've given, but I can't.
For either gun it owuld be best to have pictures and more written discreption of the barrel markings unless those can also be captured by close up pictures.
Posting images can be a bit of a challenge, but if you have or can get pictures drop me an email by clicking on the icon at the top of this reply and I'll provide you with my direct email addressess so you can sent them to me as standard mail attachments, and I will post them for you.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0
