Vintage scopes
I have a very oold Leupold scope that I want to sell. How would I go about finding a value on such an item?

Tell us exactly which model it is, and what condition it is in. I have a copy of Nick Stroebel's "Old Rifle Scopes", and it gives typical value ranges expected for each scope listed as well as the date range in which each of teh various scopes was made.

There are no model markings. It is strictly a 2 and 1/4 power straight tube scope marked "Leupold and Stevens instruments." The windage and elevation adjustments are actually around the tube as opposed to off on one side. It's pretty interesting. 0 -
Sorry it took so long for me to get back to this post...
The scope you have was referred to as the "Riflescope" and was manufactured from 1951-1954. The listed value is $75 - $150 (the high end of the price scale assumes that it is in NIB condition).
