there is no comparison. sorry. stay american. a used american gun is better than new imports. dont let finish fool you. everything 'looks' good new. let your shoulder determine a good gun, not your wallet. stay italian, spanish and german if you go european. at least their metals meet certain mfg guidlines. a russian gun made in a mud walled factory in an old block country? QA? right. im sure others will swear by their cheapo's, but i go against the grain on the subject and can not comform to group think theory. email me anytime.

Second Bobski's opinion. If European, go Spanish, Italian or German. Lots of really good used shotguns around for 1K or less including some Citoris, Superposed and even AyA's.

thanks!... I know the Huglu is made in Turkey, as are a lot of other guns these days, just looking for info. They are suppose to make the Verona semi-auto shotguns, I thought the Veronas were all made in Italy...? 0 -
HUGLU has jumped light years in quality in the last couple of years. They have Americans involved in R&D now. Raskil is right, alot of the European shotguns are being outsourced to Turkey, cheaper labor. Most of the walnut stocks in the upper end euro guns are coming from there too. RASKIL, have you checked out the Huglu website yet?
BTW...I agree with Bobski...buy American!0 -
Verona is made in Italy, the factory being just across the road from the Beretta factory and employing many of the same gunmakers on different shifts. Owned by the owner of Fiocchi (sp?) ammunition, they are pretty nice shotguns, mine in 28 gauge fits and patterns beautifully.

I'm surprised to hear a thumbs down on Higlu shotguns. They looked well made and the wood I saw was very nice with good figure.
The price was attractive too.0 -
and for the benefit of the readers, please note one of the responses from one of our posters, how he was surprised by how it ...."looked" when he "saw" it." the cheap gun industry banks on your eyes 'seeing' a nice gun. after you bite, game over. the truth to a good gun is made 10 years after you buy it. most of the new imports havent created a track record yet. they are still in the 'lets hope it makes it to 10/20 years stage.' after 10 years and still holding together, then they will be entitled to bragging rights. otherwise, you are buying a gun with an unknown track record. i hope someone will understand my thoughts. its what made usa great. unfortunatley, not any more. we the people have been fed indian corn and have learned to like it only because we forgot the taste of sweet corn. 0
