I'm no expert. The only thing I found that was in Blue Book referred to Liegeoise D'Armes previous manu. in Belgium. Small manu. of boxlock shotguns. Prices range from $600 to 1200 depending on condition and degree of engraving. 0 -
What You have is a knockdown...! In the 1800's and well into the mid 1930's a Lot of Quality Made guns were being copied by Belguim Manufactures....the Quality was not always the Safest or best...They were sold in Various Hardware Stores Thru out the United States and Canada...and thru Mail Order House's....from $12.00 on upwards to $35.00...They were made to shoot Black Powder Low base Shells and in a few instances Low base, Low Pressure Smokeless Shells..The fancier the gun the more it cost..There was an EXCELSIOR made in Italy many Years ago that was a Quality Side by Side...Its concievable that your gun was Stamped with the name to fool a non suspedcting individual into thinking that he had acquired a Top notch fowling piece...only to learn that he'd been duped.....Your gun is strictly a Wall Hanger...and in Excellent Condition is Worth $250.00 and less for used and abused....My suggestion is...hang it on the Mantle and enjoy it as it is...Best...
