in a SW model 31 revolver. Can you safely shoot 32 SW short being that it shoots 32 SW long? Is it like 38special through 357mag?

Any one know prices on 32 rim fire ammo. I have 6 rounds of 32 rim fire long, and 3 rounds of 32 rim fire short that I need to sell.

becker, I have used all the ammo you mention. Wolf and Silver Bear use steel cases, and S&B uses brass cases. I prefer S&B with the brass cases even though it may cost a little more. I plan to shoot up all the steel case I still have.

The S&B buckshot is good stuff. The S&B I use has the 12 pellet load. It is great for competition with the 3 extra pellets. The only drawback with their buckshot is that it uses a roll-crimp which results in a slightly longer shell and may lessen , by 1 rnd, the number of shells you can put in your mag tube.

The Wolf and Silver Bear brands are very inexpensive, but the steel cases might wear more on your extractor since the cases are harder than brass cases.

In my AR-15 .223 I have used both Wolf and Sellier $ Bellot. In my opinion S&B is the better of the two. Wolf has a steel case with a laquor type coating that after a few hundred rounds makes your gun dirty. S&B is a good quality ammo. It has a brass case, which I like better than a steel. I have shot over a 1000rds of S & B and never had a misfire or jam. As for accuracy I have no I idea which one is better.

the s&b buckshot works great in all my pump guns but my 1187 auto will not cycle it sometimes,it is not copper coated like most USA ammo it is soft lead but works great on deer under 50yrds,I buy several box's every year, when you have teenage boys that all hunt and shoot its the best way to go for your buckshot,my boys take several deer every year using it and as far as I know have never had one missfire, since it is uncoated it will deform and not pattern well if shot thru too tight of a choke like an extra full

As above concerning the Wolf ammo, plus the powder burns somewhat dirty. I think the newer wolf and silver bear is improved somewhat over the older lots. The Sellier and Bellot is very good ammo. Burns clean, what I have used, and seems as good or better than most run of the mill major manu. ammo. The shotgun ammo was a high performance sporting clays ammo. Worked well, tho was somewhat punishing recoil, but again, was a hot load.
