Don't let the MSRP fool you. There is a glut of S&W 9mm's on the market. If you check the completed auctions, actual sales are usually in the $200-250 range; especially nice guns might go for $300.

The gun you are looking at is one of the nicer ones, & certainly not a PD trade-in. At that price you won't be hurt; but, it is not the great bargain that "book value" would have you believe.

Neal: sounds like it might have been Agent Meyers. Thanks for your input. A friend who owns the local gun store said any price between 300-345 would be OK and another friend, the local gunsmith, said about the same. Your input sounds very knowledgeable so will go after it @ around $300 and see how it goes. It's the satin stainless finish version, comes with 2 mags, papers, manual, case, etc. Doesn't appear its been fired.

    Thanks again for your input.

That really doesnt sound like to bad a price for a Chiefs Special even if it is in 9mm.I looked at a .40 before I got my Baby Eagle .45 and it wasnt $325.00,so I dont think thats bad at all.Its worth $325.00 to get a very concealable and quality gun I think.$300.00 would be better though.[:D]

To those that responded, thanks. Got it for $325.00. Prices for the CS9 are all over the place on auctions...from mine @ $325.00 to $599.00. Same gun and accoutrements...wow! Scary.
