S&W .38 Special
I have inherited a S & W 38special CTG. 4" barrel nickel plated. On but of grip are the # 16229* on the cylinder housing are the # 11056. I know its an old gun my Great Granfather had it in the early 1900's. It has wooden srewed on grips.manuel ejection. On the left side of barrel is 38 S&W Special CTG. One front sight and a groove rear sight. 4 screws on the left side of mainframe. I'd appreciate and help with knowledge of this weapon.

Just wondering about the approximate age, model and value.
Not many identifiers on the frame, just a S&W stamp, and the S&W CTG stuff on the barrel
serial number is D254661

It didn't take a lot of research (looking at completed auctions) to see that similar guns are selling for < $300.
My conclusion: your starting price of $350 is too high, even with shipping included.
I suggest that, if you really want to sell it, start your auction at $250 with no reserve, & let the buyer pay the actual shipping by Next Day Air. It WILL sell.
