Walther PPK/S-1 & Crimson Trace Laser Grips

I would like to install a set of Crimson Trace LAser grips on my PPK/S-1 manufactured in Houlton Maine. CT has discontinued making those grips due to intolerances in the grip areas of the PPK/S due to the many manufactures tolerance differences. They do say however that the big three manufacturers are non problematic with a good match-up and fit. ANyone installed a set of the grips whose gun was made in Houlton Maine and if so, any problems? Any recommendations? Don't want to but a pig in a poke!

  I have that same setup and I have had absolutely no problems. I actually got the grip as a Christmas present.
  
  But if you're going to get a laser yourself, why not get one for a bigger gun that you'd actually use for defense. A .380 kurtz is a little small for my taste.
