Bump firing?
ok i saw on a post down below someone mentioning "bump firing". I have seen this on other forums but don't really know what it is or how it's done. Anybody wanna elaborate for me? thanks!

Not sure which thread you are looking at. I have seen the term "bump fireing" used in two contexts. One would be a malfunction in which a literal bump to a gun causes the fireing pin to release and the gun to fire. The other was in the case of some of the older exibition shooters who were able to rapid fire pump action rifles or shotguns by holding the trigger down and working the pump, causing the bullet or shell to fire as soon as the action closed. I know of no firearms made today that will do that, but I may have missed something.

Generally today it is rapid firing a semi-auto to simulate automatic fire by letting the natural recoil of the gun trip the trigger automatically by the certain way the the gun is held while firing.
Safety first, but with a little practice it is a good circus trick to do once and a while. Except for the very few it is a very ineffective way to shoot other than to burn a lot of ammo in a few seconds plus your barrel.
