Bushnell Banner scope value
I purchased a '70 Win. mod 70 (.270)at a recent gun show and it has, what appears to be, a period scope: a Bushnell Banner 3 x 9--40mm (glossy)with electric (battery)red-dot. I called Bushnell and they told me they quit making them in 1980, but could not tell me what they retailed for. I really love the little illuminated "red dot" and am curious what this scope is worth. I primarily purchased the rifle, but the scope I think is a bonus! Any info is appreciated.

Ditto to the above. Go to a good gunshop and ask to look through a quality scope such as a Leupold, then take a look through your Banner. Your eyes will tell you all that you need to hear... 0 -
They go in the $50-$60 range if you can find a buyer.

The newer banners without red dot are about $90-$100 new. As for the quality I have a few and they are not that bad. I have 1 leupold and I think the banner is better than it. I wouldnt use them on the higher power rifles but on my 223 and my 22-250 they are fine. I went with the busnell elite 3200 on my 7mm
