I recently received an armalite .50 bmg rifle and i am fixin to hunt me some turkey or maybe deer with it. Will i need a hollow point load to take down this type of game or will full metals do the trick?

I really dont think either will be big enough for a turkey. you might try a 20mm off an a-10 or something

I agree and the .50 lacks the follow up shot also.

    Try one of these:

Mebbe good up to 100 yards or so.
I make some 730 grain jacketed soft points if you want to try em on them thick-skinned turkeys.

also forgot to mention, you might look for a paladin or something. 155 does the trick on a t-34 it might be big enough for a smaller turkey.

yo Jake S-83 the A-10 fires has a 30mm cannon and not a 20mm, i don't think a 30mm is even powerful enough for turkey. Maybe a 57mm AAA gun would do the trick.

yeah, typo. I was just nervous thinking about how pissed those turkeys get when you bounce a 338 off them.

    Jake S-83..

As I recall, the A-10 carries a 30mm gun...with depleted uranium rounds. That ought to take out most turkeys! LOL

What? Could it be a post having "11" replies?

I always wondered why I never got a turkey with a 12 gauge. I thought I missed, but seems I need better equipment.

An AC-130 shoots a 105mm Howitser. That'll do the trick

What I think we need here is the 120mm cannon off of an M1A1!! That should take care of those pesky turkeys!

You got it all wrong. You need an A-Bomb. That way he will be dead and cooked all at the same time.
