How are you finding that the bullets are tumbling?

Perhaps the holes in cardboard/paper targets are key holed?

If that is the case, he either has a batch with asymetric bullets or a very bad muzzle end on his barrel.

A friend will post your bail. A good friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying, "man that was fun!"

The holes in the target are twices the size. they actually look like they are spinning.

What do you mean by, "some of the ammo tumbles"? Some from the same box of the same brand, some of every brand you've tried? What brands have you tried? If the problem only happens with one brand, just avoid that brand and use something that works properly. If you have experienced the problem with ammo from several factory-loaded brands you have a defective barrel and need to return your pistol to the manufacturer's warranty repair station.

Seems to me it would take an awfully bad gun to make .45ACP "tumble".
The rifled barrel, even a short one, should give most bullets enough spin to shoot w/o flipping end-over-end.

Thanks for the info from all the answers it must be the ammo. I believe the Magtech ammo was the the ones that were bad. At ten yards with the military ammo Its five out of seven in the middle. thanks again.
