Ruger .22 cylinder
I have an older 3 screw ruger .22 which I purchased with the magnum cylinder only. Since then I have bought two .22 L.R. cylinders for it. One is recessed where the shells are loaded and the other is the flat style. Both timed perfect and both shoot fine. My question is which is the proper cylinder ruger made for the 3 screw.

Hello slover...
Mine is the recessed style (my revolver was made in 1966).

funny I would never have thought that they would fit from the old to the new sytle but you are right, i just took my cyl out of my 3 screw and it fit right into the new model no prolems , run a dowel rod down the barrel to check the timing and it was fine , any ways the cyl on my 3 screw is recessed
if you want to sell one of those cylinders let me know as i have been looking for another .22lr cyl0 -
