    I had no problems shooting the lighter / shorter load. I did pay special attention to keeping the chamber clean where the shorter case left the end of the chamber exposed. (probably less 500 rounds)

    After reloading for a while I quit resetting my dies for the 38 length ( I don't have a 38spl only anymore) I now just load some lighter loads in 357 cases.

    .38 Spls have been shot accurately through revolvers for years as have 44spls in 44mag revolvers. It's a good idea to run a brush through these chambers to remove any buildup at the end of the chambers.
    If your Marlin will feed the shorter ammo you're fortunate because my Browning Winchester 92 in 44mag wont without jamming.
