considering a trade
I try not to take up much space in Ask the experts, but I'm wondering if this would be a good trade.
I have a model 27, NIB nickel plated, never fired, perfect, with the box in very good shape, has all original paperwork including the warrantly card, ect. I'm thinking of trading it for a Remington 3200 Skeet, in 99% condition, with upgrades completed. I think I'd be getting the better deal money wise but I would probably never get another model 27 like this again.
I've been waiting years to run accross a model 29 in the same condition as the 27, but I haven't yet, I am/was waiting to make a "pair".

The 3200 is just a "Gun".
The 27 is an "Investment" and highly desirable "Collectable".
Guns come and go everyday, but collectables such as this model
and in this condition, do not.
If you really want/need the 3200, find a way to cash it out
and you'll never have to look back at a trade you'll regret
making.
My opinion on it!

Really think you've answered your own question, but if you want to hear it from other sources ... Keep the 27
Sure it's a good shotgun and money wise probably ahead of the present market for the S&W, but it isn't all about the $$$, it's the search and ultimate pride of ownership ... don't get the impression you feel the same way about the shotgun.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
Dave, here's a want ad looking for your 27 if you DO decide to sell it.
