Price is about right if it's pristine.no buggered screw heads,ie" hom e action work.
caliber is deirable in a carbine for deer/coyote hunting.weapon is desirable mostly by cowboy action shooters.Lots of 'us' shoot Marlins.
If push came to shove....gun or no repayment, take the gun.
Then by a box or two fo ammo and go see what real fun is. :)

Throckmortons' the alias, cas is the game.

Worth it if in el-primo condition. A very nice workhorse of a lever action gun and real good to 150 yards as a brush gun for hogs, deer or bear. Match it up wit a 44mag revolver.

I have one that I bought in excellent-new condition for $250.00 about three years ago.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.

Sounds like he needs to give me the gun and $100. But like daddy always used to say, "Half a loaf of bread is better than none."

I knew you guys wouldn't let me down! I buy the next round.

I agree,if it's the only way you'll get paid, take it. But you might not get $350 for it if you sell it. It's a great gun, but it's not hard to find.

    Thanks, Grizztribefans@sssnet.com

    Matt,
look at it as an oppertunity. most of us have to hunt for an excuse to buy another shooten-arn. you were just handed the best there is. gotta take the gun & fill out the set so as not to lose money. kinda like a sale, you have to spend money to save monney (need has nothing to do with this logic). if you can't see what I mean, ask any lady, I had it explained to me years ago. Jim
P.S. it shore do come in handy when applied to gun collecting.

Mateo- It just so happens that I have an extra 44 Ruger Super Blackhawk fired less that a boxfull that you could have at a song.
With that on your hip and the Marlin across your arm you'd be the image of Dangerous Dan McGrew.
