Difference Between Marlins 30AW And 336W

I have recently aquired two seemingly alike Marlin lever actions. One is a 30AW, and the other a 336W. Both are in like new condition and I am considering having one customized. Is one of them a better grade than the other ? If so , in what way ?

  30AW is the no frills version, usually with cheaper wood.

  Thanks a lot! If the only difference is cheaper wood then the 30AW would probably be the best choice to have custom stocks put on.I'm hoping that the barrel and reciever on the 30AW is the same as the 336. Thanks

  Just sold a 30 Marlin, only difference is the wood. so two votes on that/ nambu
