Beretta AL391 Urika Gold DU Gun
I have recently won a Beretta 12 ga AL 391 Urika Gold gun made especially for Ducks Unlimited. It is a 3" magnum, 28" barrel, 5 interchangeable choke tubes, high gloss walnut stock and forearm with a black custom receiver with silver sides. It has a DU logo and duckhead engraved and filled with gold on its right side and flying ducks engraved and filled with gold on its left side. It comes in its own Beretta Du polymer case. Does anyone know what this gun is worth or what it may sell for? Thank you.

Last MSR was just over $1,200 for their non-DU marked gun.
Can imagine that there would or could be some additional value for the DU engraving and carry case, but it's tough to quantify those things. At the end of the day value is what someone is willing to pay, and to a DU member that could run another couple hundred.
BTW ... last production year was 2002 so being a recent win I suspect it was picked up as a discontinued model then after market engraved for DU, or it could be a piece that the factory had set aside for "special" sales such as DU and other organizations/events.
Bottom line is that you have a very good shotgun that has a selling value probably in the range of $1,000 to 1,200+
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
I forgot to mention this gun is serial numbered for DU up to 3000. Ducks Unlimited financial year runs from June to July (or similar), so that it is still fiscal year 2003 to DU. Does this info produce any new responses?

I think C.Man has the right shot on this. It's worth is what the market will bare. It IS worth what a new Beretta Urika Gold is worth. You MAY find someone willing to pay a hundred or so more. This model was somewhat scarce in shops so that may drive it a little, unless Beretta is cranking 'em out like bread now. On other models of guns, it has been the rule it is worth no more/no less than a stock one unless the gold/engraving is very attrective for some reason. As it is, I bought a Beretta 390 for about $100 less than one that was unmarked beside it. No demand, he wanted it off the shelf and it technically was now a "used" gun since it had been thru a raffle, new owner, ect. Be happy you won such a nice gun and use it or sell it as you can. 0 -
Which model is it? (Trap, Sporting, Parallel Target). Does it have MobilChokes or Optima chokes?
Sounds like a DU Gold Sporting with MobilChokes. If so, it's a great shooting gun. I have one in the 390 series. You can buy the "non-gold" version new-in-the-box for $825 (with the new "Optima" barrel & chokes). Optima is just a fancy "recoil reducing" package Beretta started putting on the gun in April 2003. It includes an overbored barrel, lengthened forcing cones and extended sporting-style choke tubes.
It's too new of a gun to be listed in my 24th Edition Blue Book. The prior guesses sounded right to me.
I would encourage you to keep/shoot this gun. Great gun for skeet and sporting. Points easily, swings smoothly, very little recoil.

To answer your question more directly, your gun probably has a value of $900 to $1200. The 391 has been a hot gun this year and there are plenty of them out there now. Yours happens to be the best looking 391 they've made (my opinion). You'll get top dollar from someone who sees and handles the gun (not from an internet site).
One of the guys I shoot skeet with bought a new 390 Gold Sporting Ducks Unlimited, silver-sided Gold (new, in box) for $850 last Summer.
