need vintage parts for winchester
where can i find a complete bolt assembly for a model 1904 winchester .22 short & long? i've already tried gun parts inc. in NY and every other website and dealer i could find. if someone has one lying around and is willing to sell it, i would be much obliged. it was my grandfather's old gun and i would love to be able to fire it sometime. thanks and please help

If you've tried all of the "usual" sources then try a post in this site's WTB forum. Additionally try running some Web searches for Winchester Collector Groups and even try a search under Old Winchester Parts ... never know. Also don't limit your searches to only one site as the different search sites have differences in the way that they have and sort/search for info. 
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
I see them listed on e-bay pretty regulary. A bolt from a 1902 will interchange with a 1904. I don't think it matters if it's S and L, or S, L, and extra long bolt. About the cheapest I've seen them sell for is about $35.00+.
