argentine mauser model 1891

does this rifle qualify for a antique or does it still have to be shipped to a c/r or ffl..serial # is 6684.. i was under the impression that the 1891 was only the model # and that it could have been produced all the way up to 1909...thanks for your help..tom

  Some 1891 Argentine Mausers are antiques, some are not.
  Look at the left rail. If it says Ludwig Loewe, it is an antique.
  If it says, DWM, Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabrik, then it is not an antique.
